I got asked twice in the last week for a quick guide on how we mounted our solar panels from our pushpit. If anyone is looking for a similar solution, I've just published a quick photo-guide here: http://followtheboat.com/2015/05/01/how-to-mount-your-solar-panels-on-the-side-on-the-pushpit/

Hope it's of use to someone.

Cheers,

Hi Jamie, yes, useful thanks. I had been thinking of putting a large array on a frame at the stern, which would have necessitated a very sturdy frame and would have dominated the stern. I'm now more inclined to put a single large (250W) panel on a lighter weight frame at the stern, but supplement it with 2 x 100W panels, one down either side.

Has your PM requested more photo from the back of the boat , unless we in any big seas where there maybe a chance a wave will catch them we sail with them up without any problem ,

Hope it helps
