Can I put a hosepipe into the deck emptying point to fill up with fresh water/flushing liquid?

The other option - pumping plenty water from the loo seems a bit long winded!

Any advice appreciated.

The easiest way to flush out a black water tank: Stick a hose--NOT the same one used to fill your water tank!--down the deck pumpout and let the water run till it overflows out the vent...and continue to let it run till the water coming out the vent is clean. Then, while water is still running into the tank, open the thru-hull and turn on the macerator pump or pump the manual diaphragm pump enough times to thoroughly rinse out the pump and the lines to it.

This method not only flushes out the tank, but also sends water into the tank at the bottom to stir up any sludge so it flushes out. And should be done 2-3 x/season.

Many thanks - I didn't fancy going in with marigolds....! And saves me the worry of spraying the Sunseeker next door with last year's sediment!
