We are thinking of investing in some kind of boat we can live aboard. We have seen lots of vessels which would make good projects and at good prices, but how do we go about finding our own mooring and a litle bit of garden to go with it? We are looking on the South East coast. Something on a small creek would be ideal. We are hoping to retire this way and are looking to buy now to reduce monthly costs later on.
Grateful for any advice you might have.

You could try somewhere like Faversham or Conyer Creek, just off the Swale. Not been there myself but have been told its ok, try pm'ing Mainship Tom, he lives down there. You'll find him on the mobo forum.

Good luck, Al.

Yeah lots of moorings which you can but outright !

Also you can buy a house with a mooring and when you are ready rent out the house and get a free moorings !

We bought the house and I use the moorings but when we are ready we will rent the house !

You will do very well on waterside houses since lots of peps are after them at premium prices but none of them have boats !
