Don't take any notice of Tekkie I hadn't seen it before and think it's hilarious.
No wonder their weapons don't work. Were they from HMS Mudlark.

Its rather apt, isn't it... the 'war' in Iraq in macrocosm: soldiers go charging in expecting a nice run up the beach for the camera, but instead get bogged down in the quagmire and find themselves covered in s**t.

Your 'charming' post above makes a point if not particularly eloquently.

That said, historically, beaches have been checked before landings to avoid just such an incident. Certainly during WW2 this led to the construction of some truly fascinating machinery to overcome the problems of weak beaches. We therefore expect a level of professionalism and expertise from full time trained soldiers and when something goes awry but with out harm or serious incident, we find it funny - as indeed did the cameraman.

I am guessing you have some ties with the military and are sworn to secrecy, why else would you be so rude to others whilst hiding behind an empty profile & biog ?

We all support our troops and would not wish this on any in a live situation, but as it was not - lighten up, and if you want to make a point - learn the powers of persuasion as opposed to bullying.
