Yep - I think that the OP was talking about the older RL70/RL80 Pathfinder displays.
A previous generation of Raymarine kit.
Believe me - there is a coating on the glass that doesn't like abrasive cleaners.
I damaged one so badly that I ended up removing all the coating.
That made it very difficult to see in direct sunlight - note that these displays are not the "direct sunlight" displays that you get with the more modern kit.
I say again, be very careful using abrasive cleaners on these older displays.
