Hi,
Boat is back in the water and it's all nice and shiny except for the dull windscreen. Any tips and techniques for cleaning the screen?

Thanks in advance for any insight/suggestions.

You never clean it yourself !

You just make nosies like, "Whoooo I can not see that bouy" or " Is this a freak wave", Then the crew SWMBO or girl friend will get out there and do thier best but soon enough it will either have streaks or salt marks, so you repat the nosies and mention a cup of tea or a cold beer,

That should do it

It's plastic - don't know if it's acrylic or perspex. I remember somebody mentioned Farècla boat pride but no mention on the Farécla website. Others suggest "Brasso". Any ideas - I don't wnat to scratch it beyond repair.

Can't see the traffic lights and girlfriends are usually too busy getting a tan to take any notice of my wailings.

Then use PLEXUS, it was developed for the aviation industry for polishing and finishing plastic helo and light aircraft windows, does what it says on the tin , fills scratches and polished beatifully and makes plastic last a long time.

You should be abot to buy it online from Transair pilot shop.

You can also buy 'acrylic window polish' from swindleries. I used it this season after the screen had gone cloudy from repeated use of a squeegee - after 10 mins elbow grease I could see again.

Had the same problem on my SS Martinique where the previous owner had used an abrasive brush. I use a perspex polish with a new/clean lambswool pad on my orbital polisher I use for the hull. The result is great. Went this way after meeting someone with a SAn Remo with a shiny windscreen. I asked him if it was just replaced. The polisher is the answer.
