The props on my boat are Nibral ( nickel/ aluminium bronze, i.e. copper containing). i have to assume the hubs, electrically insulated from the props are made of the same material. The props have no galvanic protection but the hubs do. I want to connect the props to the hubs electrically with bonding wires so they will be protected by the anodes ( even if I need 3-4X bigger anodes, a lot cheaper than new props.

Do I need bronze bolts?

Bronze wire or would monel be OK?

Not sure what the hubs are that you are talking about. Normally props go straight onto shafts and are protected by the anode bonded to the shaft, although some props such as folding or feathering which have mixed metals in their construction have their own anodes.

Can you give a more detailed description of your arrangement?

The dreaded VC DPH props. The hubs show no signs of corrosion. The VP active corrosion protection system is working at maximum capacity ( it never did that with my previous boat; DPS with insulated stainless props)
