How to anchor an ice yacht

Fancy a quick screw?

Actually when you park the iceyacht you point into the wind and turn down the sharp, metall break under the front glider. Longer term parking , like overnight, you lift the yacht on three supports but normally when you stop sailing you dismantle the yacht and pack on cartop and take it into the garage.

Here's a suggestion....

Drop your 45lb/20kg proper CQR down into the sandy 'vik'. Let it bed into the bottom as normal.

After that, let the Baltic ice harden around the chain. If the wind is able to shift 170 million tonnes of 4-foot thick Bothnia surface ice and take your boat with it, perhaps it's time to try something else.
