Strictly this is not a boaty post - but there are few occasions when I can truly say I'm glad I'm not sailing.

This afternoon, after many tribulations, we got 2Mbps symmetrical wireless broadband - it makes YBW fora go seriously fast !

Looking at the fog rolling down the hill, I shall stay safely indoors and read YBW fora instead of getting wet and cold !

so we can look forward to lots of posts now... and HWMO can expect a lot less work will get done. now to get same installed on boat!

Well actually the idea is to do more work ...

Theoretically the supplier is looking at wireless enabling the D.mouth anchorage which would make us even happier !

Well I had a cracking sail this afternoon in the Solent. Tack out of Portsmouth and then close hauled all the way up the solent at between 6-8 knots. Got to Southampton and turned back to Portsmouth for a nice broad reach home. Sun was out, waves were a bit frisky, and boat resembled a submarine a couple of times, even splashed onto my wheelhouse windows /forums/images/icons/smile.gif Wind varied between 10 kts and 30 kts apparent. Much better than sitting at home!
