First let me say that this is no ploy to try and get people to buy stuff from me.

I am however going to be selling a couple of bits from my boat, and have no idea what the asking price should be.

The first is a seago 2.4 m dinghy with an air deck. Cost £450 a couple of years black. Good condition.
My friend wants to buy it but insists he will pay the going rate. No idea what to ask him.

The second is an "as new" asymmetric spinnaker. 3 years old with a snuffer, launch bag blah blah. Cost about £1500 when i bought it. Made for a 32 ft yacht . Again , I have seen varying prices, but not sure what the going rate could be. I kind of want to know a " buy it now" price on e bay

Many thanks.

This isnt worth a huge amount - I too have got one for sale ( 35 footer) and the best indication I can get is about £500 if that.

Regarding the sails - go onto www.exchangesails.co.uk or www.westawaysails.co.uk/used-secondhand-sails.htm ( google second hand sails ) and find a comparable size and condition and then drop it by 20% as they are a proprietary sailmaker and have to make a profit margin.

But - on the other hand I'm after a good assymetric for my 37ft / luff around 15.5 metres - pm if you can help

Kevin

For the dinghy see if there are any similar on offer on the likes of Apollo Duck and for the sail try looking at Seateach's second-hand sail pages

Got very comparable dinghy for 200 - and it was good bargain i'd say. From ebay, after seazon, couple other people were offering close. Good condition seago (not sure if this size but close) was on display at shop for some 250 IIRC. So probably "half price" of new is as good point to start as any.
