how much is an icom m421 worth?

I used to teach the src course and for this I had a pair of M421 radios modified by icom so as not to transmit more than a few milliwatts. Safe for learners to do maydays on, you see. Given up doing the courses ( not prepared to get inspected by some beurocrat ) and I can get the ICOMs, which are pristine, converted back to normal radios at a cost from ICOM of £34 each. But I suspect I wouldnt get more than that for them in the open market

What do you reckon? Seems a shame just to throw them in the bin.

Would they be worth more as the training sets than as fully-functioning radios?

At £100 it might be worth doing - the radio would be as near new as could be and free of any MMSI
