That does seem high . The last survey I had done in Italy Sardinia was carried out by International Yacht Surveys. For the engines he done oil analysis and thermal Imaging inside and out on the hull. I was happy with there costs. For the size of yacht your talking about £3.5 K should cover everything including sea trial and travel. Give them a call. Good luck.

Thanks to all for replies. I am in contact with Jim Pritchard

Great choice of boat, Mike. I went on one in Cannes when they were first launched and was blown away by the build quality, and I love the galley aft layout. I also think the merged side windows works well on this boat, but didn't do anything for the aesthetics of the smaller boats.
Thanks Nick H. I was not sure about the aft galley arrangement myself but having been on the boat a couple of times, I can see how well it would work in the Med and Ferretti have done an excellent job of screening it off when its not in use. Agree with you on the full length side window in the saloon. It doesn't work so well on the smaller models. The only reservation I have is that the aircon is going to have to work very hard to keep the saloon cool. On the build quality, actually neither SWMBO nor I would agree with you, at least in terms of the interior finish! We think the older Ferrettis are more nicely finished and the newer ones are a bit minimal but then that seems to be the trend with every boat builder so clearly we are out of step there!
