Can't seem to make this D4 thing use any, done 120 hours + since Feb, used the heating a LOT and only used about 700l. After having a V8 petrol for 10 years I am a verry happy bunny indeed.

If it's used 700l in 120hrs, you've managed to get it to use something.

Agree though, D4 sumpremely economical. But 700l in 120hrs is low, less than 6l/hr.
I've got through 250l in the 20 hrs running since I got my boat. Thought that was quite good.

I too recently switched from Petrol. So many benefits not least of which 250 instead of 80 miles useful range.

Also very quiet and smooth, although slighlty annoyed with the sound of supercharger cutting in and out, not as intrusive as KAD engines though. Does supercharger annoy you?

In France we pay full price!!Almost a euro a liter
What i cant understand is why whenever i come aboard our boat the diesel tanks are empty?
Ive told my children that to leave the tanks full to prevent condensation. For some reason they always have to rush off when im down hear? They come along to see me(by car on the way home buy or cook me dinner and remind me i should check their boat.

Now if France only had red that wouldent happen??

This time of the year its really great to cruise in a mobo walm and the wake over the flat calm sea with the walm exhast vapor on the wake the turquose sea and deep blue sky changeing to reds amazing

I think we have some raggies taking the piss here, there can't possibly be that percentage of power boaters who spent <£100 on fuel /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

So even at road prices thats just 25gallons!!! or 25hrs and at an unrealistic 1gph. So do the vast majority on here only use single petrol runabouts for 2 or 3 weekends a year?
