Yesterday I loaded a yacht onto a Sevenstar ship. Talking to the load master I was the 20th yacht to go on and he had one more after me.

Many new yachts from Princess, Sunseeker and Fairline, great for exports.

Having loaded and discharged many yachts I have never known it to be so busy. The hold was full of yachts as well as the deck.

Glad to hear you finally got loaded Lozzer. Any pictures? Were you with Peters and May or Yachtshipping?

By the way, many of the boats are owned by Brits, so not all are truly exports

I was on the Squadron 78. We tied up to the Princess 20m.

We were due to lift at 1400. I finally walked off the ship at 2100. I havent a clue what time the Sunseeker finished.

The Load master and crew were good, it was just frustrating having to wait.

The ship was meant to leave Saturday night sunday morning. I have just seen on AIS that it left 10 mins ago.

For whatever reason we are running 14 days behind schedule thanks to this service. I will have about 3 days to get this boat ready for its summer trip.

JFM We booked with Sevenstar, In my opinion they have been a little less than genuine, originally we should have been on another ship but we got bounced due to faulty crane!!! I think it was more down to not wanting to stop in Gibraltar.

I feel that we have been kept in the dark which for the money the owner has paid is quite wrong. It beggars belief how shipping companies can work to a very loose schedule.

Your idea about coming down under own steam might not be so bad after all.

Will download photos when I get a spare 5 mins.
