€36,000 (£32,000) seems like a good deal for the boat, crew and berth at the monaco GP. If you can get 12 bods on board it works out at just under £2,700 a head for a cracking view.
If I remember correctly it is 6 passengers (including yourself) and they provide two crew. They do allow you to change the passengers each day, however, but not sure if rules are different for GP.
not food, thats extra, but crew, berthing and boat for that rate. If you want to go anywhere, i guess thats extra too but I would only want it as a viewing platform
There will be many more than 12 if they want to fill it. The 12pax coding limit doesn't apply when tied up in port. Anyway, I'll answer your question with a photo, in late May
Before paying out big money on a 66-er, you want to check its berth. If it is over in Tabac corner, or between Tabac and the swimming pool, then great. But more likely it is southside of the port, by the yacht club, a long way fron the track, and with a lousy view. There aren't really any other locations for a 66-er apart from a few tucked in here and there
The berthing charge will be about €10k for a 20m boat, btw. That's for a full 4 days, not per day.
Yep, sounds right. I was told €5k in bungs, and €2.5k in marina charges for 18m boat for the 4 days, but couldn't get in, which suggests the going rate must be a bit higher.
If this is the SS charters package, I think in the small print it says that you get grandstand seats for the gp, which implies that the boat itself is nfg for viewing the race.
