"Which model?"

130 Horses in my AQD40A when new.

Feels more like 40 knackered old nags wandering aimlessly around now. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Really must chip off some of the rust and get those injectors out and checked......must make a note to myself .....o well maybe next year.

Hi Clive,

No Still the originals.

We are coming over a few times during the summer so will hopefully see you soon.

Kevin.

2000 boat with approx 550hrs. We bought her in 2004 with approx 200 hrs on her. Useage has reduced each year since we had her, due to other commitments getting in the way. Hopefully we'll give her a lot of work from mid June to mid July this year.

Merc 1.7 TD's. 345 on starboard, 10 on port. Port changed last year due to heat exchanger blockage and overheating.

Not sure on life expectancy. Any views?

Don't think they have been around for that long (in marinised form anyway), but certainly are a sweet little motor. They are marketed out here by Mercury as a diesel repower option, for those wanting small, light and fast. I not heard any bad reports.

Sorry to say I have just read a not so impressed post regarding the motors, I can't remember which one. Maybe the guys could give you an idea of how to prevent future problems.

Ford Mermaid 6, Dover block, 8200. Last one had 14000 on it when it developed a crack next to a core plug. It was dismantled for the insurance company and declared unworn.

Yip, believe so - I like to get everything done at the same time anyway and then one more lift around September for a quick scrub.

Instead of being in the water running up bills - SV is now on the hard erm ... yip, running up bills.
