How long do

glow plugs last on a Volvo 2030. My friend has the same engine as mine with only 150 hrs and claims one of his glow plugs has failed with resultant difficulty in starting. Should one carry a spare or spares or is this a very unlikely failure?

Over 800+ hrs and no problems so far with glowplugs on my 2030 (-touching a large piece of wood!).

I put three new ones in my 2040 (same engine basically) last year and they all failed within 6 months. Volvo did replace them FOC as probaby faulty stock though!
