How long before we can cover our boats with this then?

No dirt on spray hoods
Dry decks
Clean sails
Antifouling?

Technology must surely exist, just need endurance and price now.

I remember an episode of Tomorrow's World decades ago when WD40 or something very similar had been invented. They sprayed an electric drill (main powered, no battery ones in those days) and then with it switched on and lowered into a fish tank to prove it had been waterproofed. I don't think any of the presenters volunteered.
Oh for the good ol days of none existent Health & Safety!!
