had a lovely weekend, stopped at Gin's farm in the beauliau river. First cockpit breakfast of the year. Annoyingly a seal sat on the versadock at the end of the pontoon for 2 hours this morning, less than 50ft from our boat. And we didn't see it! It had just gone by the time we had breakfast. I had taken photos of the glorious view before breakfast, but still didn't see it. A fellow boat owner asked if I had seen it. So annoyed!

Same pontoon, same result ! Still haven't seen the mythical seal, much to my daughters annoyance, despite having looked numerous times....

Good to meet you at the weekend Elessar hope you had a good run back in the breeze ! (And thanks again for previous advice !)

Hey nice to meet you too. Love your boat.
We had a lovely day didnt want to go home, in fact we didnt get back until 10pm. Wind was no issue.
I even got a tan !

I see your "missed seal" and raise you a "pod of dolphins came within 30' of the dinghy I was fishing from and forgot to press 'save' on my phone that I videoed them with"

Lucky you, was blowing a hoolie when we left yarmouth at 11 on Sunday morning.

Just before we left the sail boat next to us completely lost it while departing and crunched the pulpit, luckily Alison was walking the dogs.

Coming into our berth the wind caught us so said hello to the end of our finger berth lol. No damage so all good ☺

Hey i'm glad you're taking the new one out in that wind! You've obviously got the hang already. :)
No damage to the pulpit either?

We left hamble at about 10.30 so were wind over tide on the way up.

And single shaft once we got into Yarmouth the berthing master gave us a nice easy berth - not.

When we got out of the pub at about 13.30 the Solent was noticeably flatter, even up by the needles is wasn't so bad

Had a lovely blast to yarmouth on Saturday, a little spray over the flybridge but no real drama.

Coming into Yarmouth there was a 20 something foot searay trying to get onto the fuel berth and having a he'll of a job, just wish he had noticed that I was coming in. Didn't realise how good a F43 is in astern lol

Agree was flatter than Saturday, was just the close quarter stuff that was a little challenging
