My boat weighs according to the original brochure 2,041 kg. It hold about 153 litres of fuel and 90 litres of water. Can anyone give me an idea as to what figure for the total weight should be put into a prop calc programme.

Well, a litre of water weighs a kilogram and a litre of fuel approx 0.7kg. Then you want an average crew at 82kg each (x number of crew carried on average). So water adds another 90kg and a full tank adds 107kg. Does that help??

Maybe if I add about 750kg this will be enough.

don't forget to allow for extra gear added over and above the original spec of the boat.
