A fortnight ago SWMBO and I gave up on the boat, hit the road for the Dordogne and baked in the sun for a long weekend. Excellent time was had. Shame my sun hat was still on the boat. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Must admit that today (southern Greece) was too hot to go sailing at over 45 degrees and I locked myself up in the flat with the aircon on for the first time this year! So, there can be other reasons apart from cold, wet and windy for not going sailing! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Almost enough to make one think about going out and buying a stinkboat ginpalace to be able to have an aircon at the steering position! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Don't worry, I did say 'almost'! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

We went into town, for a Spanish lesson, and returned to the boat pronto presto, to escape the heat and humidity (air con is a lifesaver), while a tropical storm, a few hundred miles offshore, continues to enliven the bay.

The tropics aren't all they are built up to be.
