28nm. Assuming you are going North Channel, through the Forts and in fairly straight lines.
Direct line between the two i.e Through Gosport is about 26nm.

It s about 25/6nm but allow for 30nm. ( ships, forts, buoys avoidance etc)
ps the LANBY was replaced by a cardinal couple years ago.

Not only has the LANBY gone, but the cardinal is moderately unimpressive, esp when seen from seaward.

You have the option of a shortcut through the Looe channel if the weather and tides are benign.
