How do you send a PM (private message)

Seen an item on the "For Sale" forum but dont know how to send a PM.
Please advise

Click on the forumite's name in the top left of his/her post. Select 'send a private message to ...', write your message then submit.

You cannot send pms as a new member until you have made a number of posts.

I think also new members can't receive PMs until they, too, have made the magic number of posts.

They are best avoided. The last one I received led directly to me being banned.

I see I have several dating back to 2013, but not since 2017. Some were amiable exchanges with Paul Heiney ("oldvarnish") about one of his books.
