You need to first have one one an online host. Then tag it on here as a photo.

For example from your site

http://practical-business.co.uk/sit...res/.pond/magicienneforedeck.jpg.w300h225.jpg

Then tag it between [image] [/image]

Do not leave spaces, it doesn't like that.

to get

magicienneforedeck.jpg.w300h225.jpg

nice shot by the way.

edit>> To find the full picture address, right click the image and select properties. This will show the address, but make sure in IE you scroll through the whole address from the http to the jpg before copying it. After copying it paste between your image tags in the post window,

hope that helps

Be warned. If you post a picture you can come into all sorts of trouble re sail trim etc as people will soon pull the picture apart!

The picture has to be on the internet, not on your pc. To put a picture on the internet, find any post by Boatone, then click on the link at the bottom of his post. This will take you to a site where he kindly host boaty internet pictures, along with full instructions on how to put your pictures there.

Once there, right click on the picture, and when a box opens, click on 'properties'. This will open another box, with the internet url of the picture. Highlight the url and copy it.

Then come here. then type, pasting your url in the space between brackets as shown

u should be able to "up-load pictures on your ISPs site, mine is tiscali these have to be made to accept "public viewing" i.e. open to whoever wants to look.
once this is done, click onto "properties" of thr picture & paste the url string of letters / numbers inc. the .jpg @ the sentence end.
where one normally writes( in this box) lpace the folowing
[image]pasted string from properties inc .jpg[/image]
all with no spaces this should work

I'm guessing from the size, that you've posted a thumbnail version. On the photobox site, can you click on the image to get a bigger version? If so, take the url from the bigger image in the same way

Well you've got the hang of it anyway! <g>

Does photobox have the option of medium sized pics? That's one of the reasons I use Smugmug.com - you can upload anysize picture, then it gives you automatically resized options to choose from, with no effort on your part.

You can always resize pics in a photo editor before you save them if they are too big to post easily here.

Will have a look at smug mug, thank you. I'm a not very good at this as you can see, not sure if I'm clever enough to resize.
