how do you lot afford it!

The OP has a valid point,"How Do You Lot Afford It" but I'm sure he/she didn't realise the question posed at the time, seven weeks ago.

Today it was reported Hampshire has the highest fuel prices across Britain, and I can agree and confirm it, my local station has it at 147.9 a litre for derv, 80 squid to fill a little Peugeot Partner van FFS, hows that going to reflect on to the fuel barges and marinas along the south coast this season?

With the cost of red diesel only heading upwards, do any of you take advantage of the savings to be had by arranging a small road tanker to deliver in bulk quantity (obviously your tank capacity would dictate demand). If a few boats clubbed together requiring 100gals each (only an example), then i'm sure the diesel supplier would be happy to provide delivery at a much better price than would be charged at your usual fuel berth.

MDL sell at close to cost anyway.
I'm not sure they would be very impressed to see a rogue tanker trundling along their dockside.

Marina may not be happy, but fishing quays probably do it all the time & how could a Public Quay complain? I have been known to tie up to promenade railings to go shopping or get water in the past. You would need to get the delivery at or close to HW & have everyone ready with cash to pay, but not exactly a logistics nightmare is it?
