How do you add a picture to a post

Please can someone tell me how to add a picture to a post.
Tried searching for topic but just cant find.
Non techy answer please. (if thats possible)
Copy and paste wont work.

put the picture on photobucket. Copy the image link from underneath the pic. then just Ctrl V to paste the pic into a post here.

underneath photobucket album pics, you see a series of links. Just copy the Img one.

Brendan's answer is brief but of course correct.

Don't be put off by the apparent complexity it really is much, much simpler than the tutor might lead you to believe. As simple as Brendan says really.

However initially don't worry about a resizing program unless you already have one that will do it. I think Microsoft Office Picture manager will do it. You can use the sizing options as you up load to Photobucket. Its just too slow to use for more than one or two.
