How do I replace the seal in Jabsco Maxi Puppy

I realise that I have never replaced the seal in my bilge pump so now have one! I now need advice on how to get the old seal out without damaging the surround

ITYWF that if you remove the housing from the motor you will be able to press of drift the seal out.

Id leave well alone though if its not leaking

Remove the head from the motor (two Machine screws), push out old seal, press in new, re-assemble.. Job done. Easy job, but one that can be hard, because of mounting. Best bet, remove the whole thing (ie motor and head) and do on a bench, it can be a B*****D doing in situ...
