would love to get hold of the original plans as im sure the top deck has been raised and i recon itll affect the sailing capabilities of the boat..i have been looking on quite few searches and it seems pretty difficult to get the original picture/ plans..
i do have a certificate of british registry for her but not sure where to go for plans she was built in leith dont think that the boatbuilders will be still around??
this site is wicked it gives me great enthusiasim and secure in the knowledge that theres support at the end of my fingertips thanks a million..

You're not exactly forthcoming with lots of info re type of boat, year of build, etc.

If I were you, I would call Cockenzie Slip and Boatyard on 01875 812150 and ask if they used to be Wm Weatherhead & Sons and if so, do they have any old plans.

thanks for the number ill give it a try. didnt have all the info to hand at the time.
shes a pleasure craft built in 1937 with a newage engine, length of 8.62m breadth of 2.8m and a depth of 1.49m her gross tonnage is 7.31 and the name of builder is weatherhead and sons.. built in uk port leith
will keep this info at hand when asking more questions thanks for your help cheers

According to my old copy of Lloyd's List, she was designed as well as built by Weatherheads, so if Cockenzie Slip is the correct yard (and they have an archive) then you may be in luck. Alternatively, you could try contacting the National Maritime Museum: they have built up an amazing amount of records donated from boatbuilders/shipyards.

Send me a photo and a Postal Order for £500.00 and I'll knock up some plans for ya.

Ok, they won't be 'original' but I can yellow the paper a bit by holding it in front of the fire. I can also use some old school ink and scrawl things like 'Galley with pantry and space for Primus Self Pricking Stove Model No 7' and stuff like that.

Who will know except you and I!? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

[Grudge Icon on] Not bad I suppose. They omitted my boat as she is so legendary she did not need a brochure [Grudge Icon off]
