How do clean up your props, shafts and rudders?

You can use brick acid to melt off the lime deposits etc, but be careful what you put it on. Last year, I used a nylon wheel to scuff off the dirt and small barni's then did a quick clean with some brick acid, then final clean up. WIth regard my bronze props, they get a polish then a coating of prop-shield. The PS stays on for about 2-3months then its all worn off (and yes I did heat the props up and follow the app instructions to the letter) and you're open to the usual elements. A mate of mine used MC chain lube and it stayed on nearly as long and its much easier to apply, so might try that this time around.
