Feel free to prod around with a multimeter - you can't do much harm.... Except: do not use the amps terminals, switch to amps then put the probes across a battery. It's a mistake most people only make once! (It's a dead short and will go bang!) Oh, and always use a higher voltage range than 12v. Have fun!
