So there we are anchored up with about 10 other boats. the water is clear the water is warm. Clearly not the UK, this is Med France.
We have been in the bay overnight and the first of the dayboats are starting to arrive. Then approaching there is a mobo, wake flying, oh no! we say, here we go, but no, not at all, well before the anchored boats the 40 ft motor boat slows to a crawl as he works his way in to find a spot, clearly with the ability to go slow that escapes many in home waters. Then another mobo approaches, but no fear, again there is respect for the other boats at anchor. Then a RIB, oh they never slow up! But he does, edging his way close into the beach.
It seems that in these waters boat owners respect each others existence. Even at one point when a water skier decides to exhibit his skills, snaking in and out of the outer anchored boats, he does so twice before there are shouts of objection from these boats, the skier disappears. Peace resumes. Everyone gets along fine.
