I missed the classic boat forum when that disappeared - It wasn't 'at home' in its 'new home'. I quickly abandoned it, migrating to the woodenboat forum. Welcome back - Very happy to see you back in your home port. :encouragement:

The old Classic boat forum is still at http://www.classicboat.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17 along with all the 40,000 + old posts. but it is no longer used very much

Not very surprising if others got the same reception I did, and got banned for trying to edit old posts with no explanation or apology. Think they've even deleted my contributions completely now but I did find somebody had quoted a post of mine with a photograph, that's now gone too after a quick play in photobucket. I do like madhatter's edits though, I think it's quite funny that the current forum owners over there haven't noticed what he's done, but it does show their level of contempt for contributors

I was wondering, why with such on enthusiastic following, it had become so little used in its new home.

I simply said that I missed the original, don't know why it didn't work in its new home, but I'm looking forward to good ideas and advice from people with a love of classics and old wood in this new forum. Seems simple enough to me.
