So, I started with quite a pleasent pic of 76715 bytes 640x480 then reduced it useing the 'Easy Thumbnail' package and I end up with a dissapointing 1283 bytes. Is there no way I can produce a 65 x 75 pic but containing more bytes (hence I guess better quality)

I've just tried that and sure enough the bytes went up to 4267 (from 1200 or so) and quality improved dramatically. When I then sucked it into 'Boatsontheweb' It reduced down to 1278 same as before.
I'm now feeling very guilty since I now have 3 poor quality sunsets on Boatsontheweb. (I haven't found a way of deleting them yet)

If you click on the small thumbnail you will then see the higher res image. Have sent you a personal email......
Trouble is, you are also trying to fit a horizontal pic into a vertical space......

Doh! I know that....be much better if it was tho'. Praps you could demonstrate some of your mastery with the 'puter and get it to do something. Just as long as it doesn't start stripping off like Mrs B's.

lovely advert for tripod, but we can't see whatever gem you've displayed for us :-( just shows up as a 'hosted by tripod' advert in the picture. Copyright protection of some sort probably?

Anything hosted by tripod can only be seen if you visit the tripod site. All you can see is the tripod advert. If you refresh the screen then you loose the picture again so have to visit the site again.

Its very funny anyway lol :)

Just had a look at the site...the animated gifs are all public domain and they say you are welcome to use them, but not to link to them (guess they don't want zillions of hits on their servers) so you need to copy the gif and load onto b1's site to use successfully
