No doubt they've been plenty, but just for interest - and according to the reference (below): In the 1930's Uffa Fox, with two others, sailed an International 14 racing dinghy, alone, from Cowes to Havre. And back. Set out at 4.30 pm, fresh SW wind there, 28 hours. And quote, 'Hard wind' unquote, NW, dead beat back, 37 hours at sea, I think... (International 14 was a two person, completely open dinghy, no reference to lifejackets of course...)
