Ever wondered how those big boats get into the exhibition halls? No, I guess not but if you have, here's how
I dont know the answer to that. Anyone?Very impressive.
How far do they then have to travel along the roads to the exhibition centre?
Would the large Princess yacht have come all the way from England on a barge, or was she driven on her own bottom to (eg) Amsterdam and then loaded on the barge there for the passage up the Rhine?
I heard that they put the bigger boats on a barge in The Netherlands and from there go up the Rhine. They unload them right next to the Messe so the part by truck is short.I dont know the answer to that. Anyone?
Yep, I heard he same.I heard that they put the bigger boats on a barge in The Netherlands and from there go up the Rhine. They unload them right next to the Messe so the part by truck is short.
The dealers contribute to the boat show costs, and help to man the stands. Inevitably there are costs in both within the end sales price of the product, but this is no different to many other industries.I wonder what margin the manufacturer puts into the sales price to cover marketing costs like this.
I happen to know that one major manufacturer in my industry budgets 2.5% of turnover for exhibitions and I suspect the boating industry is not dissimilar. Boats are like any product. The customer pays for the privilege of being sold the productI wonder what margin the manufacturer puts into the sales price to cover marketing costs like this.
