No better, or worse than anywhere else and can vary according to where you are in the harbour. If you are on a swinging mooring you will find the boat spends most of the time facing west into the prevailing wind, so the port side faces south. Expect you will get heavier fouling this side, particularly weed on the waterline.

Ask around where you are keeping your boat and find out what is the most popular AF.

Quite. I've had berths in Gosport, Swanwick and Brighton, and I didn't notice Brighton particularly worse than the other locations.

When I moved to Med, one of the concerns was that the warmer water would promote more growth. In reality what has happened is that the warmer water has promoted more use of the boat, which in turn seems to result in less growth.

So, there's two morals to this story:
1. if you want less growth, use your boat a bit more
2. if you want to use your boat a bit more, move to the Med.

Hope that helps :D

Not sure where you are moving to but if it's Port of Poole marina, you may want to talk to some of the current or previous berth holders before you part with your hard earned..
