How about YBW Lights and dayshapes for \"other actions\"????

Following on from a previous post, can we come up with combinations of lights and dayshapes for "other" tasks and duties aboard a boat?

1- a ring/ball over a cylinder.....having a dump

2- 2 horizontal cylinders....do not disturb /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

3-3 vertical greens- whole crew seasick- leave a wide berth

4-4 flashing reds, yellow and green with QFl strobing- Dart River Party boat

On the Starboard side; Green over White over Green
On the Port side; Red over White over Red
To the Stern; White over White

Literally ;
I have my masthead lights and my steaming light and my deck level lights on.

In fact;
I am not very clever and should be excused COLLREGS responsibilities due to a low IQ.

And who said we could not engage with a "disadvantaged group" and address their "issues".

1. Bretton Cap hanging from the backstay - owners lost his defaced blue!

2. Washing hanging from all the guard rails/boom/shrouds - Experienced sailor.

3. Fenders hanging from the toe/guard rails - Request hail from passing vessels.

4. Any racing flag flying from the backstay - The ColRegs do not apply to this vessel.

5. Red flag flying from backstay - Some idiot didn't obey my signal in 4 above.

6. Five short blasts on ships whistle - to be used (in daylight) during and after racing,

i) any vessel that approaches your stb side.

ii) when crossing a marked fairway/TSS and a commercial ship is navigating in that fairway/TSS.

iii) when approaching the local pontoon berth/fuel barge with no available spaces.

iv) (after 2 minutes) to hail the local trot boat/water taxi after you've been standing on deck ready to go.

v) MUST be used if you encounter a vessel showing a black ball in the fore part of the rigging.

Peter.
