How about some imaginative titles on your responses

Whilst scanning through the forum, I find several well supported threads where all the responses are titled in the form of "re:original posting".

Maybe I'm alone in this, but I would appreciate a bit of a clue about the contributor's point before I download it. I don't want to miss the interesting postings because I'm wasting my time viewing those merely agreeing with the one above.

I await your responses.....with a bit of luck I'll be able to weed out the abusive ones by their titles alone.

They bloody well are, too, take it from me -- I'm married to one (at the moment.)

Of course, what this has to do with sailing is another matter entirely....
 
Have you ever tried looking at a Chronological listing of the messages? It's one of the display customising options. It becomes meaningless if the originally posted title is altered. I very much agree that (some) titles are not very ... descriptive of the posted message.

The thing is..I just HAD to open this posting to see what is was about.

I still think that if you've got a good point to share, then don't sell it short by letting it get lost in the multitude.
