Hotpot water calorifier failure

Got a 40l Hotpot hot water calorifier, purchased from ASAP in 2011. Now failed due to leak from body, assuming joint failed as haven't taken lagging off. As want ASAP to come back to me as there initial comment was only 1 year warranty. But I do not expect a copper water cyclinder to fail after 7 year. Home ones seem to last for ever.
Looking at a replacememt and found a Quick water heater, with stainless steel body. Any comments about Quick as a product and using stainless steel for the heater body, My thoughts should be better? Although slightly more expensive.

I use a Quick 20l calorifier. On my second at present, first one failed after about four years, developing a leak in the heating coil which allowed water into the engine coolant. Second one now fours years old, still ok. Colorifiers take a fair bit of abuse, getting bounced round in a boat at sea whereas a domestic one just sits there, so not too surprising they don't last as long. Also, typical pressurised system on a boat is about 35-40 psi, somewhat higher than normal mains pressure.

I agree that it's a pain that it's failed after 7 years but I doubt whether you'll get any joy from ASAP as 7 years is well outside Consumer Rights legislation.
