Having got back to UK the car was full of snow under the bonnet and wouldn't start so called out the RAC. Very nice man and car soon going....just every electric soaked through.

When finished offered him use off house for washing hands etc..no thanks have our own and proceeded to show me a stainless steel, epoxy coated heater unit with fold down/away stainless bowl that the hot water ran into from the tap. Holds almost a gallon and is heated by an electric 12v heater element contoled by inteligent wiring that heats the water whilst the engine is running. All looked very good and took up so little space took down the phone number off the appliance.

Phoned Envirowash this morning, 01952 292166 to enquire price etc.. Spoke to Barry Delivered to my door for £170 all in, with guarantee etc.. If I'd be interested in being a distributor to the boating fraternity and bought in tens price reduced "dramatically".

From what I saw, great piece of kit, great for a motor boat or yacht that does a bit of motor sailing. The price is very low. If you need a simple to instal and use hot water supply give them a ring.

There are a number of different types and manufacturers.

Teal do one as you describe 12V, or a version which is piped from the engine to use waste heat to heat the water.

Most company vehicles from utility services, vans lorries etc, use them.
Once the vehicle is sent for auction they are removed, not always re-used.
There may be some second hand units available from your local utility companies/local councils.

I have obtained two in this way costing £15 each.
They needed cleaning but being stainless came up like new.

Happy hunting.
