Hi,

This is a bit cheeky I know, I wish to build a campervan but the choice of water heating, air heating and cooking is like finding a needle in a haystack, additionally it all has to be planned in terms of roting supply pipes and electrics before I can start work. In my defence though I am a dinghy sailer and have done my day skipper theory course and forgotten it :-)

I know I would prefer not to have a gas cylinder next to by bed although I may have to go with it since I anticipate it will be least cost and there must be combined units for hot water applications. Also are moulded shower/ head units readily available.

If anybody can recommend the best systems to choose and chandlers that stock everything I would need (including the product literature in advance) I will be grateful.

Thanks

For combined cooking & heating you can do a lot worse than Wallas products, sadly they do not offer water heating & any water heating unit used as stand alone, Webo, Mikuni, Ebo et all will be too highly spec'ed for the job and would soon have problems. A fluid based system which combines the heating, water heating and engine pre heating would make sense, prticularly if powered by waste heat whilst on the move. That however would make the Wallas diesel cooking without heating facility look quite expensive.
