Horseshoe Davit System

Currently considering a davit system for my tender which will be mounted on my rear bathing platform.

I was tempted by the system offered by PolyMarine called Insta-Lock which seems to be a cheaper version of the Weaver Snap Davit system

I have now seen a sytem distributed by Roche Marine called the Horseshoe Davit System which seems interesting

I have a Hurley davit on my bathing platform, means that my outboard stays on the tender. 6hp Yamaha on a 2.6m Ribeye.

Their main selling point appears to be that you don't have to glue any "large, ugly" things to your dinghy.

Well, great, but instead you have to mount a large ugly depth-charge launching rack to your boat.

The Weaver dinghy patches are pretty unobtrusive, and the boat brackets are way smaller than these great hoops. Look how they dominate the swim platform even when the dinghy's not there:
