As I type, sailing (well, motor sailing) up the West coat of Turkey - well offshore. Checked forecasts for today (at least 4 of them) all offering S to SE moderate breeze - nice. What have we got? Light NWerly! It is not as if it happens occasionally, quite common - just have to live with it I guess.

Poseidon for right now gives SW 3, maybe 4. Turkish Met Office gives SE about the same strength. It's a good Sw 6 with stronger gusts in Leros.

Not just yet, about a week to go. I need to rebed a chain plate whose removal will leave a large hole in the deck. The forecast was for 5-10 mm of rain starting midday, so I judged it best not to start the job. So far, 1400, we have had less than that many drops of rain.

Our forecast is East 15 knots, sunny and 28deg....same at last week and set to continue for the foreseeable future
