Honest Guv - its my friend\'s boat, not chartered!

We are a new syndicate with a boat in the Ionian.
We intend that the boat should only be used by the owners, but I am nervous about the position with the Greek authorities if the boat is lent to a friend. There is no problem with insurance and the friend is well qualified (Yachtmaster). Nevertheless, his name does not appear on the ship's papers so could a spot inspection cause a problem?

Does anyone out there have any experience or advice, please?

I enquired re this last year in the office in Levkas when we arrived in Greece. The info I was given was that a letter from me,authorising the friend to use the boat for the period in question would be sufficient.......But !!!! I would check it out .. Why not contact them and ask?

It is covered in this months (march) MBY magazine. Basicaly all users need ICC and should be mentioned on the Bulletin of Sailing (available from port authority). Apart from that an official letter of authorisation to use should suffice (I think?)
