Honda vs Quicksilver inflatables?

I intend to purchase a 3m to 3.5m airfloor inflatable (airfloor due to lightness and transport in car) for leisure use but am confused as to the merits of the various makes.

My intended use is by 2 adults and 2 children, mostly inland waterways but occasionally limited coastal travel in stettled weather. It will be powered by a 4hp fourstroke.

My main choice is between Honda T32 IE and Quicksilver 310/340 airdeck although I could stretch to Zodiac 310 Acti-V if there were advantages in doing so (for example, what do you get for the extra £200 or so?). My main source of confusion is they all seem to be constructed of similar materials (1100 vernier PVC derivative) and similar manufacturing techniques (overlapped seams, thermobonding etc).

Should I be wary of the 2 year warranty of the Honda as opposed to the 5 years offered by the others or am I missing something more important in my selection criteria?

Any advice on this matter or details of experiences of any of these boats would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Several years ago bought a dinghy from a chandler in Brighton, and it turned out to be faulty. A replacement was sent direct from the importers and that also was faulty. the next one came un-opened direct from the importers and still had the invoice in from the company in FRANCE who import them from China and then stick different labels on them. Makes included in the list were, RSM, Quicksilver and another two I cannot remember.
Everybody got the same dinghy but at different prices!!

Clarkson pointed it out last night regarding the new small Toyota, which is the same car as the small renault and Citroen, all made in the same factory to the same spec but the Citroen is over £500 cheaper which on a £7000 motor is a big difference.

Our Quicksilver dinghy, though tatty due to too much sun in the Med and always out doors uncovered was still performing well afetr 4 years.

I can only comment on the Quicksiler. I have had a 310 Airdeck for a couple of seasons, kept rolled in a caravan, on weaver davits or just left lying around.......no problems at all and tubes and seals etc seem fine, with the material stretching out creases easily on inflation. Runs fine on a 4hp Mariner.

Get a 4 stroke outboard - much quieter though a bit heavier. I have a quicksilver 270 plus a 5hp mariner 4 stroke - good combination - works very well...
