I have got a Honda suitcase generator EM1000F which is a non inverter generator.
Last year while using it with a small electric planer it stopped providing power even through the engine was still running OK
A kind forum member sent me the circuit diagram and on checking all the windings no fault.
A friend who rewinds motors had a look changing the capacitor could get it to generate power by flashing the excitation coils but on stopping the generator and restarting it would not restart to generate power. We did this several times and are now at a loss of where to look now.
Any one have any ideas of where to look now.
