honda outboard exhaust manifold temp.

so how hot does an exhaust manifold get on a 2hp honda outboard 1995 vintage ???

My exhaust manifold has corroded.... i either need a new part.... or the easy solution is to fill the corroded area with chemical metal.... however the instructions on the filler state resists temps up to 160 degree's... is it a viable solution ???

also any recommendations for a honda outboard dealer that has parts on the shelf hamble gosport area please

Going to cost about £30 I should think plus another 5 for the gaskets

Common problem, i have succesfully used chemical metal repairing exhaust manifolds on Honda 2 hp in the past. Depending on the severoty of the corrosion i also used ehaust putty also with great success.Tip is with this is to get the exhaust hot before you apply it then it almost instantaneously goes off
