Have acquired one of these and having finally got it to run, there is no output voltage. Have stripped it down as far as I dare without dismantling the alternator but can't see any evidence of a way into it. Anybody know anything about these please?

Is the overload trip button pressed in under the hinged flap?

plus check the exitation brushes and commutator, the comm gets tarnished, bit of sand paper and bobs your whatsit.
