Honda eu10i woes

Genny running happily with a load around 500W when it suddenly shot up to max revs and AC output disappeared. Output light remained green and no overload light appeared. This is the case with various appliances attached. The DC output is also now showing 33V on a meter.
Any ideas?

Probably the Inverter Unit.

I agree with Ladyinbed

Failure of inverter unit resulting in loss of output and load on engine....... causing in overspeed.

DC output is not regulated there increased due to overspeed

Thanks, have emailed PP. TBH, the genny has become a marginal accessory so will do without if a cheap repair is not viable.

Is this the one you've been abusing with a thyristor dimmer?

I did suggest this might end in tears!
