Tilt hydraulic is leaking on said Honda BF75 single tilt ram not the 2 separate trim rams, outboard approx 1997 vintage
Been told as single tilt ram does not come apart* unit must be replaced at cost of £850
*Lower end of ram does not have a bolt to undo so the cap can slide off and have O ring replaced - it’s a non serviceable part
Told other owners have cut the ram, fitted non Honda O ring and re welded ram.
Gone from £15 O ring to £800 + seems a bit odd, thoughts?
